New Primary Sound System

Arduino Uno + Wave Shield

Arduino Uno (Atmega328)
Adafruit Wave Shield
Kingston 2GB MicroSD card w/ SD/MMC Adapter

QKits  FA604: 8 watt mono Audio Amp (not shown)
One (1) Pioneer TS-A878 3.5" 2-Way Speaker (not shown)

Fully programmable, using the Arduiono Uno, the Wave Shield plays up to 22KHz, 16-bit, mono (yes... mono) PCM (.wav) files.  It's a low cost, small package, has an onboard DAC, filter and op-amp for high quality output. Audio files are read off of an SD/MMC card.  Volume can be controlled with the optional on board thumb-wheel potentiometer.

The amplifier is a mono IC amplifier, using a TDA2030 IC with 8 Watts output.  This amp runs off of 12VDC, has a 94 dBA signal/noise ratio and a 20Hz to 20kHz frequency response, all in a small, low cost package.

This is my Droid's Primary Sound System with the Secondary System being the audio portion of the Hasbro Interactive R2 conversion.
